What customers say?

“ This is an izakaya located in an arcade. I heard that the recommended dish was seared bonito with salt, so I tried it right away. Although the bonito is cut into thick pieces, the meat is soft and moist, making it easy to eat and so delicious that you can eat as many pieces as you want. The flavor of bonito is enhanced when served with salt, so unless you are very confident, you may not be able to serve it. There are also other unusual menu items such as ginger kakiage and black dashimaki omelet, so you can enjoy a variety of things. Of course, the standard sashimi platter is also very fresh and delicious. The burdock tempura was also large, but soft and delicious. I have the impression that no matter what I eat, I can't go wrong. ”

“ An izakaya that's like a treasure trove of Kochi cuisine. I visited Kochi on a trip and stopped off at Shun one night. The first thing that surprised me was the selection of dishes. Not only did I enjoy seared straw-grilled bonito, but I also enjoyed green onion tempura, deep-fried moray eel, small fish tempura, deep-fried river shrimp, matcha soba noodles, grilled mackerel sushi, and rolled sushi...a plethora of local delicacies, all of which were even more delicious than I could have imagined. The bonito, with its rich aroma from being grilled over straw, was seasoned with plenty of condiments, making my mouth water. The deep-fried shrimp was crispy and made me want to drink more. Both the appearance and taste of each dish seemed carefully prepared, with no shortcuts taken. The restaurant's atmosphere, with warm wooden tables and cozy lighting, allowed me to relax and enjoy my meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, even to tourists. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to sample a variety of Kochi cuisine. If possible, it's best to share with a few people and order a variety of dishes. ”

“ The seared bonito (salt) was so delicious it brought a smile to my face, bringing a smile to my face. The sashimi was fresh, fatty, and crunchy—everything was incredibly satisfying. The seaweed tempura and oyster tempura were crispy and brought out the best of both umami and bitterness. The black rolled omelet not only looked impressive, but tasted outstanding. The staff were always smiling, and we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. It was delicious. ”

“ Hospitality is excellent. The sashimi is delicious. The sake is very tasty and reasonably priced. The salted bonito tataki was so crunchy I had to scrape it off with chopsticks. The chicken tataki was bland, perhaps because it was not cooked at low temperature properly or because it was breast or chicken fillet. It's a shame it's not to my liking. Cash only. ”

“ We walked there from our hotel in front of Kochi Station. It was recommended by the hotel front desk. The food was delicious. We went with a group and stayed for a while at a table. The chef's choice sashimi platter and seared bonito were both delicious, with or without sauce. They have a wide selection of local sake, and they'll even serve items that aren't on the menu. The deep-fried mantis shrimp was also good. To finish off the meal, we had some delicious pressed mackerel sushi. ”

“ The bonito tataki and other sashimi were incredibly delicious! We didn't have a reservation, but they were happy to accommodate, which was a relief! ”

“ When we ordered bonito sashimi, the staff member was very considerate and asked, "It's five pieces, so the price will change, but would you like six pieces?" and the three of us were able to eat together in harmony. ”

“ I made a reservation on Saturday and arrived. It seemed almost full. Reservations are a must on weekends. There are tables and a counter at the entrance, and large table seating in the back. There are cinema-style chairs at the counter. The sashimi platter isn't on the menu, but if you're unsure, go for this (lol). I also recommend their specialty, the jet-black dashimaki roll It's even more delicious than it looks, and it won't blacken your teeth. ”
